fnatic and KD Gaming have qualified for the main event at DreamHack after making their way through the tough BYOC qualifier.

Yesterday saw the BYOC qualifier get underway, with thirty two teams aiming to win one of the two remaining entry slots to the main event today. fnatic.MSI were hot favourites to take not only the qualifier but the whole event, and after yesterdays showing not much has changed. Wins over Mask, Ramo, Insu and Wahl set them up for an upper bracket final match against the highly rated KD-Gaming - who had earlier defeated the other favourite Online Kingdom. The winner of the match was guaranteed entry to the main tournament whilst the loser would have to navigate the lower bracket.

After a tense encounter it was fnatic who came out on top, securing qualification to the main event today. KD-Gaming then had to, unexpectedly, make their way past Nimp who had also defeated Online Kingdom. It was a strange day for OK who, coming into the tournament as one of the favourites, seemed to capitulate under pressure, losing twice to teams who most expected them to beat. In the end though KD-Gaming came out on top of the lower bracket, securing the final spot in the main event.

The action has already begun and right now KD-Gaming are taking on Reason Gaming in the semi final, with fnatic set to play TsoG later this afternoon.
