CGS: Last Chance Reminder!
@ The CGS channel

This wednesday is registrations day the the Championship Gaming Series Combine here in the UK, and even if you are not up for getting drafted by a General Manager, its still a great LAN to attend!

The CGS have put up a whopping $84,000 prize fund for the players that don't get drafted at the event, which effectively means the top TEN players/teams for each game will be rewarded!

On top of that, while this combine may be a great chance for players to turn their hobbies into a career, or for other players to get their hands on some cash, this is, at the end of the day, still a LAN party! It's a great opportunity to see the new Omega Sektor gaming center in Birmingham (Cadred's review of OS found here) - and, if you have already seen it, I am 100% sure you will be more than happy to spend a few days there, as it is such a great place, like any LAN it is a great opportunity to meet your gaming friends, both those you've seen at other LANs and those you have never met, and over the 5 days, I think it will be hard for anyone not to have fun!

Below you can see the cash prizes for the top 8 players/teams of each game - remember, teams drafted do not count towards this, so you only have to finish in the top 10 to win a prize!

On top of the cash prizes, there are various other prizes up for grabs (such as World of Wargraft copies and Play Cards)!

Counter-Strike: Source
1st $5000
2nd $5000
3-6th $2000
7-8th $2000
Single Player Games
1st $1000
2nd $1000
3-6th $500
7-8th $500

For those of you who can't remember which single player games are played, it is FIFA 07, Project Gotham Racing 3, and Dead or Alive 4, so if you play any of those games, then why not turn up to the Combine and see if you cant make yourself some money?

If you have any questions about travel, or hotels, or just about the event itself, you can email info@elysiumgaming.com.

Remember, you can sign up any time before the event, theCGS.com - its not too late to attend!
