e-Stars Seoul: Invitees
@ General coverage channel

After some hectic fan voting and much deliberation the organising committee behind the e-Stars event in Seoul, South Korea, have announced the twelve invited teams.

The e-Stars Seoul MSI Beat IT Championship 2011 is being looked at as one of the biggest events of the year for a 1.6 community already spoiled for choice. The event has been running for a number of years but this time they have grown exponentially, hosting a 16 team tournament with a huge €47,000. As always most of the teams taking part in the event have been invited, with the e-Stars polls an event for all 1.6 enthusiasts to look forward to. Teams have been invited off the back of both fan voting and a panel which took past achievements and current strength into consideration, with seven European teams, three Asian teams and two American teams.

The other four slots have yet to be filled but with an Asian qualifying tournament set to get underway in the coming month we will see four more teams thrown into the mix. It is the biggest tournament ever for the e-Stars organisers and the excitement is already growing. The tournament will be played out in a best-of-one double elimination format whilst the two newest maps to hit the scene - de_mirage and de_forge - will also be featured.
