It had been talked about for a while but time is always a factor. Thanks to the lull that has been caused by no major events being on the calendar, we've been able to take the time to finally create a prototype podcast for all our readers.
The remit was simple enough - put together a weekly e-sports digest, pack it with some interviews and some banter, make it sound like talk radio and then put it out there to download.
Turns out there's a lot more work to it than we all thought and I'd like to thank all the people involved in getting us to the end of it. Still, we're wiser now and know what we need for the future. As such we're aiming to keep it weekly, although that might not be an exact science with events and travel eating away at time in the "recording studio" (my bedroom).
The inaugural podcast includes:
- An interview with IEM MAnager Michal "Carmac" Blicharz
- Brief appearances from Jamie "choong" Day and Greg "Greg" Bushell
- Talking point expert panel of George "hudzG" Hoskins, Chris "Toasted" Lang and Hendrik "strux1" Goetzendorff
This isn't the finished article and we do want some feedback on this on how we can make it more suited to its purpose. I for one have already arrived at the conclusion that the Newswatch section will be better done by a panel, rather than just me, as I spent a large part of my weekend doing take after take of the same pre-scripted summaries and it drove me half mad.
Anyway, let us know what you think in this thread or if you have more detailed suggestions ping them across in an e-mail to
