I recently interviewed and wrote an article on David "Olander" Olander from NoA for CGS. It goes a bit more indepth than most interviews, and has some really interesting answers from David, so I think it's worth a read.
Here's a little excerpt :
What first got you into online gaming, and how long did it take you to get into the competitive side of it?
Well I started out by playing some Starcraft and Quake 2 with some friends back in the old days. We used to LAN a lot and just play all night long. When I got my first internet connection (56k) I started to play Counter-Strike on the geekboys servers and some friends and I made a clan - Clan Armed. From there we just played whenever we could, mostly at regional LAN's though.
We had so much fun so I continued on spending more and more time playing and even though our internet bill was quite high my parents didn't tell me to stop, they just where happy that I had fun and when I combined it with doing good in school all was ok.
