GameGune 2011: Final Standings
@ General coverage channel

GameGune 2011 has finally drawn to a close with an intense final that saw SK Gaming come out on top, but not as convincingly as many might have expected.

The main story of the event is the ever growing success of the Scandinavians of ESC Gaming who have shocked most by pulling themselves through to a second place finish at the event. After a bumpy start in the group stages losing out to LowLandLions, ESC Gaming drastically improved their game and went on to take out hot contenders Natus Vincere as well as the Swedes of fnatic.

At the end of the day though it was of course everyones favorites SK Gaming that took the final with a 16-14 lead over ESC, however it could have easily gone to over time or even a second map had ESC managed to pull a few more rounds out of the bag.

The fnatic fans will once again be disappointed to see fnatic managed just fourth place, with many expecting them to make a podium finish. Na`Vi will also be disapointed in themselves only managing to take the Bronze at this event after losing games to both of the eventual finalists.

GameGune 2011 Final Standings:

SK Gaming - €12,000
ESC Gaming - €6,000
Natus Vincere - €3,000
4th: fnatic - €1,500
5/6th: paiN
5/6th: x6tence
