Dignitas have announced that James "wilzOOO" Wilson has been removed from the Dignitas 1.6 squad.

Cadred.org spoke exclusively to Michael "ODEE" O'Dell about this change, and more.

After Marc Mangiacapra recently moved to Dignitas from Four-Kings, this leaves the Dignitas 1.6 team looking like this:

Cadred.org: It's been hanging around as a rumour that wilzOOO might be being replaced in the dignitas squad for a while, but it has only just been confirmed. What were your reasons for making this change?

There are rumours everyday in eSports but normally most are wrong :) As an organisation we hate to make changes but sadly especially in CS it seems to happen far to often and it is extremely annoying. After last weekends embarresment I left it to the team to decide what they wanted to do and as you might undestand they were let down severely. So the team decided to remove wilzOOO from the team and that is what I thought would happen.

Cadred.org: So about what did happen at the WCG UK Finals, when I spoke to you at the event you said he was late because of a traffic accident - did that turn out not to be the case?

Well I still don't know the full truth and I guess I never will. As far as I am aware wilzOOO stayed at a mates house 20 minutes from the venue, they got up late then caught in traffic.

Cadred.org: I believe Marc Mangiacapra, from the old Four-Kings team, will be filling in wilz000's spot for now, is he likely to stay in the squad if they do not get picked by CGS?

I could'nt say right now, we have allowed the team to use our name whilst they go for CGS and that is what they will concentrate on. I cannot blame them as if they do well and deserve a place they will finally be real proffessional players. We will wait and see what happens, if they do get in we do not have a team.

Cadred.org: While you would be losing them, there have been many suggestions that you would become a General Manager for CGS UK, and also suggestions that one of the UK squads might even share Dignitas's name - do you have any comments on the likelyhood of those possibilities?

Yes I have seen lots of suggestions everywhere and for the record my name is ODEE :) I can confirm that Team Dignitas will continue as it is now unless something happens before now and next month. If I was given the opportunity to run a franchise in the CGS, I would take that chance for sure.

Cadred.org: Many people currently believe that if you do become General Manager (but could not bring the Dignitas name into CGS), you would pick Dignitas 1.6 team for CGS - if you were to become a GM, do you think that is the likely outcome?

A completely unfair question of course but if I were to become a GM in the CGS and at this point you seem to know more than me, I would pick a squad to win the CGS title. I just don't know what would happen, I do not think anyone can even guess what may happen until the actual draft commences. I stayed up and watched the North American draft and the number one FIFA player there wasn't picked, and there were a few other shocks too.

Cadred.org: And in the opposite situation, where you do not get chosen as a General Manager, but Dignitas 1.6 team does get picked, would you be looking to get in another 1.6 team to replace then?

Again too soon to saym I will wait and see what happens. We look likely to get back into CSS at some point as we have had a team since day one of the game - we released our swedish team so they could have a good chance to get into CGS.
