With former CGS star Tom “url” Chenery and the two rising talents Shane “Shaney” Smith and Jamie “choong” Day, many would expect to see a solid performance from them here at epic lan, but it all looked as if it could end pretty early.

The first half went way in the favour of Team Dignitas, who took a 12-3 lead going into the second half leaving them feel confident that they would shut out the mix team Xplicit with ease, however, Xplicit had some fight left in them and they proceeded to display an almost epic comeback. They proceeded to put consecutive rounds on the board and it looked as if they could take it.

Though Dignitas managed to secure the three rounds they needed to ensure the draw, they began to look shaky as Xplicit took round after round on T side of contra, and before long there were only a few rounds left in it. Team Dignitas needed to take one round to ensure the win, but with adrenaline pumping through the veins of Avash “Avash” Anderson and his hopeful mix team, they were not going to give it up without a fight.

Heads were down and things were looking grim for the new Dignitas side, dropping yet more rounds until it came down to the decider, however in a list ditch effort they were able to finally pull it out for the last round and managed to only just edge themselves past Xplicit and take the 16-14 win.

With harder games to come, Team Dignitas really need to pick themselves up from the near loss if they expect to get the clean sweep and top the group without a scratch.
