EPIC 6: Dignitas Almost Stumble Again
@ Epic LAN 6 channel

I'm not too sure who would have be considered the favorite going in to the game, and there was a a mixed bag of views on who the expected winner would be.

After the first round things were looking good for Link Gaming as they managed to take the pistol on T side inferno with Luke “KritikaL” Green winning in a crucial clutch situation. Confidence levels were high in the Link camp, but they were soon to be throttled as Team Dignitas took the second round and it appeared to go rapidly down hill from there, as Link conceded numerous rounds that they likely should have won.

Dignitas were playing phenomenally, picking up round after round showing no mercy as they crushed their way through their opposition. Seemingly perfectly coordinated team play along with a little bit of luck saw Dignitas turn a small lead into a 10 round advantage before Link were able to put their second round on the board, soon after they snatched away a third but that was to be all, leaving them with a giant deficit to overcome in the second half.

Going into the second half, Link Gaming were trying to get themselves motivated instead of letting their heads drop, but after a 12-3 defeat even the best of teams can find it hard keep themselves composed. After a few issues they managed to get the game going and Link were off to a promising start, managing to pull themselves to a 10-1 lead, fueled by the motivational roars of Luke “KritikaL” Green.

It appeared that George “zed” Bear thrived from his teams growing enthusiasm and was able to pull of a cracking performance ensuring that his team had the draw, but in the end his efforts were somewhat wasted as they dropped a second round, seeing them need the remaining two to take the win. Fortunately for Dignitas, they pulled themselves through to take the needed rounds to see it all even in the end.

Both teams are yet to face another challenger for the top spot, but this means it is now all to play for if they want to get off to an easy start in the brackets.
