The match between hopeful mix team vsod and former crazyAIMERS XEU Gaming stood as the deciding to match to determine who would progress into the elimination stage in fourth place and who would be left wondering where it all went wrong.
With the game scheduled to start at 8, things weren't looking promising for the tournament schedule as it took Mike “acky” Halliwell 45 minutes to make it into the server, where his team mates and opponents awaited whilst he had to try rectify the issue through many different methods. After speaking to the admins and getting some extra bandwidth to allow him onto steam, the game could finally get underway.
The venomous snakes of doom got off to a flying start taking the pistol as well as the next 4 consecutive rounds before XEU showed any signs of life and put their first round on the board. Unfortunately XEU were unable to sway the momentum with the one round win as Nik “zeo” Jugjeewon ensured that vsod secured the next round meaning they kept their heads held high.
It didn't stop there for zeo however, as he went on to lock down round after round for vsod ensuring that XEU Gaming had no room to breath. As vsod racked up the rounds on CT tuscan, XEU seemingly became even more uncomfortable as the game progressed and vsod were not prepared to give them any leeway.
After losing the first half 14-1 XEU looked devastated and seemingly had no way of coming back. With zeo almost dropping a 30 bomb in the process, motivation levels were at an all time low for the losing side and their patience was wearing thin as they began to blame each other for losing each of the rounds.
The beginning of the second half didn't bring any extra luck for XEU as they proceeded to lose the pistol and even though they managed to secure the round that followed with a well choreographed deco, that saw them get back into it somewhat, vsod still managed to pull the one round they needed meaning vsod will be seen in the elimination bracket and unfortunately, XEU will not.
