Although it was expected by most, it can now officially be said that Rasta.Xd have secured themselves a spot in the grand finals to defend their number one spot from the last event.
They have managed to make it all the way to the finals without conceding a single map, but it wasn't as straight forward as it seems as they had a few close calls along the way. The group stages saw them pass through with easy wins over all of their opponents, and in the first game of the elimination bracket it didn't get much harder as they took down mix team Xplicit with a two map lead.
The next game however seemed to take Rasta by surprise as they found themselves up against hot talent TLR. The former BBoMM players lost the first map and decided that they had to step up and managed to take the all star mix team to a tied up game, leaving them to duke it out in overtime. Unfortunately for TLR, Rasta took the win and progressed into the upper bracket finals where their opponents, Link Gaming, awaited.

Rasta.Xd preparing before games
It seemed straight forward on the first map, with Link Gaming getting more demotivated by every round they lost, Rasta managed to lock them out with a 16-2 defeat. The second map was not as simple, Link had taken a short interlude to compose themselves and came into the game all guns blazing. The first half, won by Rasta, ended 8-7 meaning it was still all to play for and some excellent play from Jake “batham” Batham saw Link get an early lead, but their momentum was brought to an abrupt demise as Rasta had to pause to due some PC issues.
Quite a while later the players returned and the game resumed with Rasta taking the first round after the break. Link brought a few back, and it all came down to the last round that fortunately went the way of Rasta. If it wasn't for a sterling performance throughout from Henry “HenryG” Greer, Rasta could have found themselves going to a third map.
Rasta will next be seen in the grand finals tomorrow morning, whilst Link Gaming need to play the winner of TLR vs TP.OVH to decide who will be joining them.
