This steam release, perhaps the biggest since Steam started 3 years ago, has been delayed by a week due to "technical problems".

When released, Steam Community will "make it easier to play games with friends", in what would seem to be a rough mix between Steam Friends, facebook, xfire and SGL Skilltracker, all in one Steam package (though details are quite fuzzy, so dont get upset if there are features in the above systems that dont come in the Steam Community :P)

Although it was due to be released today, Steam have announced that, due to technical problems, they have put the beta release off until next week, though they have not given a date, yet.

Once released, anyone with Steam can partake in this Beta, you just have to go to the "Settings" part of the Steam software, where you fill find a Beta area, with an option to sign-up.
