uk infusedGAMING vs fi Team flatline

Though the uk infusedGAMING league results shows only two points thus far it has been a close run thing for them n all their matches barring the first week mauling by 4Kings and they have been only one round away on two occasions from sealing a win - which would have left them on a handsome six points. This is how slim the margin between success and failure is. As you will no doubt notice there is a common theme this week in the previews suggesting that for most teams it really is time to dig out a crucial result or two to stay in the running for play off slots and the chance of the £5,000 first place prize. Infused may feel they are in with a good chance tonight against a team who haven't racked up many points themseleves so far.

fi Team flatline tore up the form book last week with a convincing win over uk Four-Kings to record their first points ths season. It couldn't have come at a better time as things were starting to look pretty bad for the Finnish outfit adrift at the bottom of the table. The possibility of back to back wins should spur the guys on and suddenly they would go from near bottom to near top - so closely matched are the teams on display in this division. They will not find the going easy however and anythng they get out of this game will be richly deserved. Flatline were in action on Monday in the ONE NIGHT STAND event going out in the semi finals to a frankly unstoppable nl fnatic so if they pick up where they left of some 48 hours ago they will feel they can take this tie.

Tune in to this match with full commentary from iG.Radio live from 8pm

Prediction: uk infusedGAMING CSS 15-15 fi Team flatline : One bit of inspiration from either side will tip the balance here, a very close match from two very competitive teams is in prospect.

fi neon vs fi Team Logitech.fi CSS

fi neon are currently caught in threesome with their two local rivals as the teams sit fourth, fifth and sixth in Invite West. The likelihood is that only one of these three teams will qualify for the latter stages of the event unless "the wheels come off" one of the teams above them. What this means is this tie is vital for both teams as they wll be the ones most likely to make it to the play off stage. Due to a percieved lack of motivation from their opposition there is every chance that neon could just sneak this tie.

fi Team Logitech.fi CSS have recently called a time out on their activities though they did say they were remaining active in the Eurocup (whether this extends to seeing out the SGL IV remains to be seen though I would hope the £5,000 first prize might have a bearing on their actions lol!). I had the pleasure of watching Logitech take the previous season of theSGL in a cracking final fixture and along with many others would like to see them fight their way into the playoffs here also. How much motivation they have may be in question however, after calling it a day t must be hard to get themselves "up" for a match. This may just prove to be the undoing of them - assuming they are contesting the match at all of course.

Prediction: fi neon 16-12 fi Team Logitech.fi CSS

hu Old Boys Inc vs hu ancients

hu Old Boys Inc have been kicking some ass so far this season and whilst they wouldn't be regarded as s surprise package exactly it should be noted they are performing better than predicted pre-season. With the trio of teams from Finland snapping at their heels n the league table now is not the time for slip ups. A local derby tonight should be three points in teh bag for them according to form but last years runners up will prove to be tough opposition and the players will be highly familiar with each other. In short anything can happen here but sticking to the form book its a win for these old boys.

hu ancients were a single round away from winning the league outright last time around, there has been surgery performed on the roster since then and to all intents and purposes this is a brand new team fielded here. With only one match to go on (a single point against draw specialists uk infusedGAMING) it's possible too early to say how they're going to fare overall after taking over from removed MTW. The one thng for sure here is that there will a great deal of pride up for grabs as these two Hungarian teams meet in their local derby.

Prediction: hu Old Boys Inc 16-12 hu ancients : OBI to just shade a tight game with CT's very much on top n each half.

de ALTERNATE aTTaX vs uk Four-Kings

After two draws and two wins for a total of eight points from a possible twelve so far de ALTERNATE aTTaX have done well in their first four matches against four of the current bottom five teams. Things step up gear for the Germans tonight however as they face the brandname of English online gaming. One more win should be enough to see aTTaX through to the next stage and to be frank there will be easier matches than this one to get the win from, if however they do come out on top here they must be a shoe in to go through this division in first place. Won't be easy - though I suspect they already know that,

I saw a couple of remarks that players within uk Four-Kings were nto exactly thrilled at last weeks map and they promptly backed that up with a surprise loss to fi Team flatline. Whilst not catastrophic in it's own right there is no doubt that this allergy to strike doe mean the guys are going into this match looking at a team above them instead of looking down on the whole division from first place. Their first match was a 16-0 demolition job and along with many I thought this was going to set the tone for their season but they have yet to play with the same freedom and devastating accuracy since then. There will no doubt be many who want to see that brought back to bear here tonight.

de ALTERNATE aTTaX 08-16 uk Four-Kings : The gaming royalty to bring things back to the boil with a monstrous performance tonight.

uk TheLastResort vs uk #team-eSource

uk TheLastResort roster has undergone some major re tuning of late with a number of very well knowsn 1.6 faces now turning their attention to the more attractive looking of the cs sisters after a long relationship with the plain elder of the two. For sure the guys are going to be less cohesive as unit after their "transistion" (first and only crap pun - promise!) to css but should make up for that with some serious skill levels. Even taking into account the undoubted gamesense of the rest fo the team it will be highly interesting to see how the AWP of Robulus fares on dust2 and could well be a deciding factor to this game. I always found it to be easier to awp in css than 1.6 so to someone like him it could be totally devastating. We wait with baited breath.

uk #team-eSource sit in third place right now but are by no means home and dry, a win for them however would make a hell of a difference here and even though their nearest two rivals have a game in hand it is far better to have three points on the league table. They are more than capable of taking this match and will go into it as slight favourites and should they get the three point their progress to the playoffs would seem to be a great deal more assured.

Prediction: uk TheLastResort 16-08 uk #team-eSource : The TLR team to romp this as T and to hold solid as CT with Robulus to unleash boomstick ownage.

nl WHERESMYTEAM? vs pt Team Excello

nl WHERESMYTEAM? are four for one at this point. Sadly that's four played and only one win and that was by way of default over the now defunct Deadbolt. To be fair to them things don't look lke they are going to get any better tonight against the high flying Portugese opponents but pershaps a move away from more "specalist" maps to something more generic like Dust2 may be just what the dcotor ordered. Each team in the league generally puts in one performance that breaks the mould and causes an upset so perhaps tongiht it's time for WHERESMYTEAM? to come into their own.

pt Team Excello described int he first weeks preview as having "the greenest website ever" and that hasn't changed. What has changed snce then however is the addition of no less than ten points to their league total from four matches played. If as expected they extract the full three points from their fixture here then progression to the next stage would seem a matter of time rather than effort but with the two teams in the match above this one snapping at their heels they need to keep focus.

Prediction: nl WHERESMYTEAM? 04-16 pt Team Excello : WMT to do better if starting as T but Excellow to come out on top without too much trouble.
