With the last of Valve's guests for the landmark meetings in Seattle flying home, it seems all the community has to do is sit and wait for the changes to come raining in.
The upshot is that Valve were receptive to the changes suggested by the playing community, have provided the players with their own private forum to discuss future changes and have committed to developing CS:S and making it more viable for competitive play.
All great news. Having spoken with some of the players in the hotel lobby the sense is one of great optimism. It is thought that the changes will take approximately a month to get implemented and will be made independently of Hidden Path's push on CS:GO.
It also isn't clear what will happen regarding the future of the Zblock plug-in now that J3di has been integrated into the Valve staff. You can expect us to hit him up for an interview or some for of formal comment as soon as possible.
Although nothing has been made official yet, it's also felt that there will be some big announcements made regarding tournaments picking up CS:S. Until then we just have to sit around and wait for the changes to take place.
