Four Qualified For Guangzhou
@ General coverage channel

With both the North American and European qualifiers over, so far four teams have successfully qualified for the first Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge in Guangzhou, China.

The first team to qualify came from the North American qualifiers that saw the team going under the name of "Temporary" claim the only qualifying position at the event, taking a win over UMX.usa in the final. Team Temporary features some of the most well known names from North American Counter Strike including both Danny "fRoD" Montaner and Tyler "Storm" Wood.

Next up to qualify from Europe would be the Swedish fnatic, German mousesports and Danish TCM-Gaming. The European qualifier had three spots up for grabs at the Global Challenge in Guangzhou, China which saw a large number of teams participate for the chance to get there. The Swedes of fnatic stormed their way through the upper bracket undefeated, as did the Germans of mousesports, however the Danes of TCM-Gaming came back after suffering a loss to another German team "HARDWARE4U." The final four teams to qualify will be decided through qualifiers throughout Asia.

Unfortunately, qualification for the Global Challenge does not grant the teams funding from ESL for their transport to China, or their accommodation, meaning that it could be possible that teams back out should they not be able to find funding for the trip to the event. The Global Challenge in Guangzhou will take place between October 1st and 5th at the Ani-Com & Games exhibition in Guangzhou, China.

The qualified teams are:

Temporary
fnatic
mousesports
TCM-Gaming
