Team Dignitas Remove CSS Team
@ Scene news channel

Nobody could be sure what would happen to the Team Dignitas CSS team after their lackluster performance at the recent epic LAN, and with Tom "url" Chenery announcing that he was leaving at the event they were left a man down with not much going for them.

A few of the players wanted to head off their separate ways, but due to contractual agreements the players were unable to part from the organisation without the say so of the managers. After a short while it appeared the team were getting things back together and were on the hunt for a new fifth to complete the lineup and attempt to claw back some dignity from their previous performance.

It was at this point the team were hit with there next blow. The Team Dignitas manager had deemed the team unready for the upcoming iSeries event and decided not to fund their trip, claiming that they required more time to build team chemistry and that he was not prepared for another half hearted performance. Some of the players were disheartened by this, but still they carried on with their practice under the Dignitas name. A few days ago, however, the CSS lineup mysteriously disappeared from their website, with no form of explanation.

Only today has it officially been announced that the CSS team would be released from the contracts with the organisation, effective immediately. Many had speculated that it would come, however despite their lack of appraisal from their peers the team still seemed to be up for the challenge of representing the well known organisation, unfortunately though, it just was not to be.

Not much was said on the matter by either party, other than a short news post on the Team Dignitas website:

The news post read:

We have decided to release our Counter-Strike: Source lineup of their contracts with immediate effect. This is due to the team not working out as we would have liked it to.

We wish all of them the best of luck in the future.

Team Dignitas were:

Alex "AlesKi" Way
Will "RedH" Manson
Jamie "choong" Day
Shane "shaney" Smith
