After a tough battle with cancer, Björn "Bullen" Wall, one of the pioneers of Swedish Counter-Strike has passed away aged just 26.

Bullen first rose to prominence in 2004 after an impressive period in 2003 with caYa saw him catch the eye of team spiXel. It was with team spiXel that he would enjoy his greatest successes in the game, most notably a second place finish at the ESWC in 2004. During the tournament they saw off some quality opposition, including Adrenaline [GX], however they lost out to the eventual winners, Titans after a tense final.

After a few more successful tournaments - including a win at OsloLAN 2004 - team spiXel chose to part ways and Björn linked up with another Swedish team, EYE. Eyeballers were an instant success and after a short while together picked up a win at the Dreamhack Winter 2004, followed by a hugely surprising second place finish at CPL Winter and another podium placing at GameGune in 2005. After their brief period of dominance Eyeballers folded and Bullen chose to hook up with NiP, but before they could get off the ground they parted ways.

After a very brief but successful time in CS Björn moved onto World of Warcraft, where he became part of the guild Ensidia and remained with them for a number of years. His death will come as a shock to many however he will be remembered as one of the CS pioneers and one of the most loved players to have picked up a mouse. May he rest in peace.
