TLR with new CounterStrike: Source Lineup
@ Scene news channel

Having struggled for a while to find the correct man to fill the 5th main spot in this TLR squad, the decision was made to bring in a largely modified line-up.

We see the arrival of 3 players from 1.6 team Transition, these players being Jack "-Callisto-" Mason, Alex "AlesKi" Way and Simon "vpr-" Carter. Adam "remy" Cook has moved into the role of an active 6th player.

This new lineup will be competing at the upcoming Multiplay i31 LAN, as well as The-eXperience in Denmark, where hopefully the new arrivals will be able to make the transition from 1.6 to Source.

Cadred Spoke to Michael Robinson, Manager of TLR, exclusively:

Since i30 we have had ups and downs with the TLR CSS lineup. We have trialled alot of players and still not had much success.

We needed to do something drastic to push this team forward and compete with the best in eruope and in the uk. Speaking with the guys from transition and knowing there enthusiasm for CSS and also there dedication as players to the game, this seems a great idea to pickup alex, simon and jack to add to the current 3 players. This is a exciting time for the new lineup with the potencial moving into the up and coming tournaments and lans.

Chris "iceo" Wilson's Statement:

TLR.css has been rebuilding its foundation ever since we decided to go all UK and play for cgs. Over the last few months many teams will have noticed we have been trying out both new and known players to try and get the right team for TLR.

We struggled to find a lineup which was meeting our expectations inside and outside the game, and when the opportunity presented itself, we joined up with Callisto, vpr and Aleski. Many of you will know these players from top previous cs 1.6 teams in the UK community, and after deciding to compete in CGS instead of WCG, it was only natural that these players had the same aim and ambitions as ourselves, and so we joined forces to represent TLR in the upcoming months. We will be attending Experience LAN denmark, followed by i31 and the CGS combine. We hope you continue to support TLR after we have taken our time to make sure we get the right roster possible to represent the organization in the upcoming leagues and lans!

Jack "-Callisto-" Mason, formally of Transition, gave the following statement:

After the announcement of the CGS UK qualifier, Transition decided it was too good of an opportunity to miss. We began playing Source with the team Callisto, vpr, Aleski, rob- and redH. The idea was to practice source until the CGS Qualifier and see how things faired out, then make a decision whether to continue playing 1.6 or source. However, we were approached by tlr who asked us to join with them and it was an offer we couldn’t refuse Playing in CGS, The sgl league, and attending experience lan in denmark + i31 will be fantastic for us, and with tils and IceO offering advice and tactics, hopefully the 3 of us can pick up source very quickly and compete with the best.

Practice games so far have been very promising and with Chef and the other management crew we are hoping to do the tlr name proud with most major competitions running Source as their main prize fund games now, we felt it was the logical direction to go in. To any 1.6 players who may have only played the game for a few minutes and dismissed it, when you start actually playing with a team and pcwing, picking up on the new bits of the maps, it actually isn’t that bad ;p Quite enjoyable, and a refreshing change from 1.6 cheers, Jack

The New Lineup:

Chris "iceo" Wilson - Team Captain
      Nathaniel "TiLs" Tilsley
      Jack "-Callisto-" Mason
      Alex "AlesKi" Way
      Simon "vpr-" Carter
      Adam "remy" Cook (active 6th)
