theSGL European CSS Invite League IV in association iwith Tournament.com : Invite + Championship B : Week 3
@ General coverage channel

Another night of railway related ownage is in store tonight as some mouth watering ties crash onto the servers as the big guns of European CSS lock horns once again as they attempt to get their hands on the £5,000 first prize in this tcom Tournament.com sponsored event. There is of course one stand out match this evening when Insignia Cadre and Adastra contest a fixture of colossal proportions at 9pm (yeah - UK time again).

As I keep saying - all matches are recorded and processed by SkillTracker to show statistical break down for each player, SRCtv proxies are up for each match and available after the act. Don't forget if you haven't already, go check out the sponsor of this event tcom Tournament.com and see just what it is they do there. To be frank most of the players in this league have the capacity to play some matches there and earn themselves some cash quite easily - so what are you waiting for !?!

eu Junk 52 Theatre   vs uk Team Ebuyer
junk52 have had a rough ride so far losing to 4DFX in CSGN which led to some changes in their team before they lost to Adastra 16-5 and then got swept aside by Defeaters 16-2. They hope to pull their weight in this match and pick up the pace a little. exile has impressed me so watch out for this player in particular for the his awp picks and kuli for his experience which the players may look to rely on but apart from this I can't see them putting a dent in the Ebuyer armour on a map ther opponents have done really well on in recent times. eu Junk 52 Theatre will have their work cut out to get close to this Ebuyer team on this map.

Ebuyer have been recieving mixed opinions recently with three of their core team focusing on CGS with the almighty Gav and Mangiacapra in Polarity which the have now qualified for. uk Team Ebuyer don't practice an awful lot as Fraz doesnt get back from work till 7/8pm so expect this to be an Ebuyer mix that will still easily dominate a junk52 team that needs practice to prevail here. Unless Ebuyers pc's randomly spark and die i cannot see junk52 touching Ebuyer.

Prediction:  eu Junk 52 Theatre  [04-16] uk Team Ebuyer

se adastra   vs fi Insignia Cadre
Now we have the game of the week Cadre vs Adastra with two new lineups this grudge match this dates back to when Cadre won assembly lan in two maps and since that day this has been a heated battle so don't expect anything less than an amazing game. Watch live tonight on  QUADV with your host Jay Atkins as these two teams slug it out in their quest for the £5,000 first prize. The full match - live and exclusive to www.quadv.com

se adastra with their reformed lineup already have qualified for the CGS combine and are on a winning streak in theSGL. I cannot see any team stopping these guys from grabbing the £5000  tcom Tournament.com prize fund but Cadre stand in their way this week. Adastra will look for the quick pushes into the outside bombsite to unsettle a nervy cadre defence  and try to pick up as many rounds on train T side as possible, with their ct side attacking style they will look to stamp their dominace on this tie and put the Cadre team to the sword. My player to watch will be fifflaren as his holding and retaking bombsites as ct against Ebuyer was top notch and for ths reason he is my player to watch against Cadre
fi Insignia Cadre after losing an incredible match to their Finland counterparts TeK-9 look to set the books straight on week three of theSGL Tournament.com Invite by taking on what looks like to be both mine and many other peoples favourites to take the league, Hopefully the three more experienced Cadre team players and Grilli the ECO hero can have some impact on their teams performance and if Grilli/Angeldust/Eversor get going they're easily able to lift their team and make one hell of a game out of it. Look for Grillis ECO rounds and Eversors/Angeldusts agressive style to hopefully grab as many rounds as possible against a team that could dominate the game easily.

Prediction:  se adastra [16-06] fi Insignia Cadre

fi Team Logitech.fi CSS   vs hu Old Boys Inc
hu Old Boys Inc have had two exceptional weeks with a draw against a highly fancied 4kings team and a win vs neon. This week they will being playing the Fin powerhouses Logitech.fi on a map I'm guessing OBi will be strong at. They will be relying on resist/rain to put up another great performance this week and hope they will shock the scene buy going top of their group and stating their dominance and hopefully qualifying for the playoffs. I'm not sure what tactics OBi will implement into the game this week but I'm going to guess there be looking to pick off the weaker players of Logitech and using their rotations to great advantage and attacking a different site. Despite this I think Logitechs experience and aim will see them through.

fi Team Logitech.fi CSS are having roster issues at the moment as Late departed to a new reformed sof2 team transferring to CS:S with some very experienced faces within the CS:S scene but if Logitech.fi have found a replacement expect their high dedication and training to prevail when they play OBi. I see Logitech working together on this map steadily picking other players then grouping as a team and attacking the bombsite and taking as many rounds a possible as terrorist, on CT i see them holding back and bombarding HE to positions when the opponents rush. Overall Logitech should come out on top in ths tie comfortably unless OBis Team can make an inspired team performance as they did against 4K and take this from Logitech grasp.

Prediction:  fi Team Logitech.fi CSS [16-13] hu Old Boys Inc

fi Team flatline   vs fi neon

fi neon are a stable team who have qualified for the CGS combine this week and now they look to take their record to 1-1-0 against a flatline team who havnt been together long but have shown a knowledge on train by beating aTTaX in twisted play finals. neon on T side will be very agressive nading into t connector and looking for early plants/picks on outside site, their play to the others team weakness on a Ct side their will be agressive with flashes and be looking again for early picks to set them up for the rounds. neons team play and agressiveness should prevail against a flatline team that have been focusing on cgs and i can't see flatline stopping neons incredible play

fi Team flatline have recently formed from jonsenn and a few well know finnish 1.6ers after proving they were a decent team/mix they decided to make it official after beating aTTaX in Twisted Play Invite final. I'm not sure about how Flatline will play train but looking at the twisted play finals im going to suggest their look for strong defence to set them with the rounds they need to win the match, T side i'm not 100% sure but they will be looking to pick the opposing neon team and rotating to other sites etc. and winning as many rounds as possible and taking the win home.

Prediction:  fi Team flatline [09-16] fi neon

nl WHERESMYTEAM?  vs uk deadbolt

Wheresmyteam haven’t had the best of starts to the season, they have had two hard fort battles with edge gaming and phoenix faction but could not over come two of the stronger teams in the divisions. Now they find themselves against a newly promoted clan from the open division, confidence must be low but I’m sure we will see wheresmyteam come into there own, with there gained experience from the two previous defeats and added incentive to put points on the board surely they must be favourites.

Deadbolt a newly promoted team find themselves in 6th having played no games, even with a intensive schedule to catch up, deadbolt are in prime position to make a massive impact to show they should have been a championship team in the first place. Some might see this team as a push over but be sure to find they can hand over some deadly force as shown in there recent 16-5 demolition of Team eXult in the open. Are they here to make there mark or will they fade away into the distance?

Prediction:  nl WHERESMYTEAM? [16-12] uk deadbolt

uk #team-eSource   vs pt Team Excello

pt Team Excello took a single point out of their 15-15 stalemate with The Last Resort last week, perhaps "stalemate" is a bad phrase as it was a hellish exciting match (so much so our match admin had to go have a lie down in a dark room for a few minutes until he calmed down) Excello certainly have what it takes to achieve at least a top four (play off qualification) placing in this group but it isn't going to be a cakewalk. Another close match in prospect here I feel.

uk #team-eSource crossed the divide from UQ over the course of the week and having despatched their previous two opponents by wide scorelines go into this tie expecting to win. Winning is a habit and these boys are in that groove right now. With the variation of maps it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking each team can be ranked against each other without taking the different facets of the played map into account. For preview purposes however  have to make that assumption. So based on current form the guys should win by the odd round in thirty.

Prediction:  uk #team-eSource [16-14] pt Team Excello

uk edge of gaming   vs uk TheLastResort

With a rescheduled game last week against deadbolt, uk edge of gaming should be rested and ready to pick those m4s, Aks and awps up again and there will be no excuse for complacency here. A strong performance in the first week on cpl_mill must have left the confidence high in the edge gaming camp, confidence which may be enough to seal a victory but there should be no doubt that Desu who was a real powerhouse last time edge played, with a k/d of 1.9 and a series of m4 skills on display will need to put in another mammoth performance for edge to steal this game away from last resort.

uk TheLastResort last played in a thrilling encounter vs team excello on de_contra which ended in a draw. Another close match may be in store tonight, especially when thelastresort will be wanting revenge after receiving a kicking from edge in our CGS cup 2 nights ago. Will the change in rules turn the tides for thelastresort or will edge be just to strong, which ever way it goes both pistol rounds will be crucial for thelastresort if they hope to get back to winning ways.

Prediction:  uk edge of gaming [16-10] uk TheLastResort

uk Phoenix Faction   vs dk ~naughtywOw~

After transforming from 4DFX to Naughty they find themselves 2nd from bottom, with a surprising loss last week, especially from a recently qualified CGS team, did we see the CGS rule affect happen or was it just simply a glitch? That question should be answered this week but will they do it with the style and ease that they have shown in the past. There is no doubt this team is littered with strong players, but strong players have fallen from good tactics on train. Top bomber Gaz and first round fragger S-D must show some of there top form if Naughty hope to secure a win here.

With a bad start to the season with a loss to team esource, Phoenix faction bounced back with a convincing win over wheresmyteam on de_contra, they must build on this win to keep the pressure on the top 2 clans, even at this early stage of the season, divisions can be won or lost. Phoenix faction showed a lot of character bouncing back in the way they did now they must drive forward once more to enforce there playoff challenge is taken seriously.

Prediction:  uk Phoenix Faction [16-14] dk ~naughtywOw~
