It was likely going to be the tensest 25th-32nd game in iSeries history, two top sixteen seeded teams in the unfortunate circumstance of being a loss away from a homeward bound journey.

For the victor, a chance to redeem themselves from previous mishaps, but for the loser, a long shameful LAN from the sidelines. As many of you will know The Last Resort ended up in the lower bracket after opting to sleep in for an extra few hours, thinking that the games were not due to start till gone mid day, however, over night the schedule had been changed and unfortunately, they missed their game. Had they lost, they would've been kicking themselves.

The other team, Raised By Wolves, dropped into the lower bracket after an unfortunate loss to little known team “Subliminal”, who managed to take the first round game from the wolf pack and took their route in the upper bracket. Tipped as a dark horse for the tournament, many were surprised to see this happen.

The map was to be de_train, known for it's forever changing balance and never ending potential for surprise. This was certainly due to be a tense game. Neither team woke up this morning expecting to be in the position they were in, each of them feeling slightly unnerved knowing that they could potentially be known as “the ones who failed at LAN.” A 25th-32nd finish never looks good, especially when you are expected to be in the tier of teams just below those who could potentially win. Both teams knew what was on the line should they lose, it was a fight to the death.

In the end however, it was TLR that came out on top over the newly formed Raised By Wolves team. Despite them having formed only a few weeks ago many would've expected bigger and better things from them. Now they will have to hang their heads in shame as the now slightly worse looking GLG side had already advanced one place above them.

For The Last Resort, this will serve as a second chance at redemption, but for the wolves, this may well be the end.
