It was one of the games that everybody following the tournament had been waiting for, the British Epsilon side versus mTw. The two met in the semi-final and it ended being an extremely one sided affair, something that not many would have dared to predict.
With both teams wanting to push through all the way to the final it was to be one of the best games that would happen here at iSeries, well, that's what you would have thought. Both of them are full to the brim with top tier talent, even if Rickeh doesn't seem to think that some are quite up to scratch with their team mates, they still fair as some of the best players at the event. The stage was set, two of the best teams at the event facing off against each other on no other than de_tuscan, hundreds of spectators in the SourceTV with even more watching one of many live streams of the game. It should have been epic.
The game got underway with Epsilon starting on the CT side, meaning mTw had what could be considered to be the easier side of the two. Even so, Epsilon are a side that are more than capable of turning any map bias on it's head considering the players that they have in their arsenal. Early on it was pretty close with mTw edging in front after Epsilon managed to take one round off of them, from there on out though it seemed to be the mTw show.
Despite both sides being seemingly a little shaky, with a few team kills coming from both sides in the earlier rounds of the game, the Germans of mTw began to pipe up and start to put up some big numbers alongside their English team mates, and they soon took a large lead over the Epsilon side. It seemed as if it was just another group match for mTw, as they seemingly eased there way through the game, the only difference being they were totally engaged and maintaining complete focus, with occasional motivational roar from George “hudzG” Hoskins.
It truly was something that couldn't have been predicted before the game had started, as mTw took the first half with a crushing eleven round lead, leaving the score line at 13-2. In the second half they continued to give the Brits no room to breath and took the first three rounds of the half securing themselves the 16-2 victory, an absolute whitewash.
Epsilon will be dropping down into the lower bracket where they will hope to fight their way back to the Grand Final, where as mTw are now tasked with overcoming the French favourites, team VeryGames.
