Team Ebuyer are yet to get their feet wet in this competition with them getting through to this round via a default win against Ulteria Motive. This round and the map to be played (de_train) will surely give them the opportunity to show those watching and those competing, that they are a force to be reckoned with and that the easy first round only sped up a forgone conclusion. The pressure that this map brings with it will be no stranger to this team who have been through the mill a few times against the UK’s and indeed Europe’s finest. I managed to speak to Ebuyer|tom today about the match and about his thoughts on the map. He believes that Ebuyer are strong on de_train and lists it as one of their preferred maps and stated that he expects they will easily take this match. Never-the-less he wishes Planet 6 all the best for tonight.

Planet 6 gained their place in this round after an exhilarating 19-15 victory over Request For Comment, after overtime, in the first round. Planet 6 did show real talent and flair in their play on de_inferno , with great performances from Optrix, Willerd and Marc. The new line-up has definitely given reason to believe that they may do justice to the Planet 6 name. The first round match against RFC did however highlight a weakness in the Planet 6 gameplay. After a 11-4 first round as CT they struggled to convert and seemed to suffer under the pressure that mounted after RFC courageously fought back to gain a draw after 30 rounds. This may just be an inferno phenomenon and it runs through other heavily sided maps like de_train, remains to be seen.

I believe that Team Ebuyer, although not yet tested in this competition, will shine through and take this match easily. Team Ebuyer have played the Planet 6 name before and won so I don’t have any doubt they will again, new line-up or not.

eyeGaming gained their place in this round due to a defaulted game against TEAM MEMPHIS which means this Danish team haven’t given us much to go on as yet. The team, originally Outbreak.css, joined eyeGaming as their CSS representatives about 4-5 months ago. The team have seen good success in Danish and European competitions under their original name and now under eyeGaming. It will be interesting to see if they can turn some heads and add themselves to the catelog of other Great Danes.

Team eXult, again, are a team who floated through the first round thanks to a defaulted match courtesy of Onesix. A young team, eXult have already impressed with their results in Enemydown, having reached 19^th place after only joining the ladder on March 1^st this year. This said, taking their Enemydown performances alone, they don’t seem to play de_train often (never in ED yet, actually) which may be an indication of trouble ahead tonight.

Limited information for both teams but I suspect the Danes will give us something worth watching tonight and will walk away with a ticket to the third round.
