After their second place finish at Epic LAN six, LiNK Gaming lost two of their key players to other teams, and seemingly losing players after events was becoming a trend for them. The team were left with the three core players who had played in the side since its conception.
However with the iSeries weekend now being over it has come to light that both of the players that departed from the team after Epic LAN will be making a return, meaning that Luke "KritikaL" Green and Andrew "bash" Christodoulou will be in the LiNK Gaming ranks once more. At the iSeries the three remaining players were playing alongside the two Brits from team Mousesports, where as Luke was with Epsilon and Andrew was playing with the Rasta-Gaming team.
Both of the returning players do so off of the back of what can be considered to be quite disappointing performances from both of the teams they attended the event with, where as the LiNK Gaming side met their seed and managed to drop some big names on the way, including the Swedish eXelon side and the eventual third place finishers, BEASTS Multigaming.
With the two players returning LiNK Gaming will be looking to step up their practice to take them to the next level, and if Epic LAN proved anything, it is that they are certainly capable of big things with the right mix of players. With Luke "KritikaL" Green back to keep the team motivated as well as the wrecking force of Andrew "bash" Christodoulou, LiNK Gaming will certainly be a team to look out for in the coming months.
Returning player Luke "KritikaL" Green said the following:
After a short stint in Epsilon is very quickly became apparent that I missed playing with the LiNK guys, this wasn't just at the event it was around 3-4 hours after practicing with Epsilon. I REALLY regret leaving the LiNK guys after EPIC LAN, but I think life is about learning, and at I Series i learnt a very valuable lesson that I think many others in the UK scene should also learn from. The stagnant period that we are having in my opinion is truly down to the reason why I left the LiNK guys for Epsilon, and it was in my opinion very hypocritical of me to have joined Epsilon for this event when I look back on it, I have always been someone to be loyal and I apologize to the LiNK guys for not being so.
But enough of the past, I am joining LiNK today because if I look around myself at the current state of the UK css scene there are very few teams which in 6-12 months time will have the edge that I think the guys in the LiNK team will have. The attitude these guys bring to the game could not be any better, they look to win every game they are playing in, and their individual aims are comparable to anyone on the global css scene. They have the core 3 players in Batham Mini and Zed to have that attitude together in the same team, is something that in the future will be very hard to beat.
With this we are also announcing that Andy “Bashpan” Christodoulou is joining the lineup again, It was very apparent that at I Series both me and Andy felt we had let the LiNK guys down, and I think we had a perfect mix of players at EPIC 6 that we can build on massively. We have the option to play 2 AWPs and we have the option to play 0 AWPs and in a game where adaptability is very much so key, We have 5 very adaptable players who really think about the game on a level that can compete vs anyone. Andy proved once again at I Series that he is a force to be reckoned with, and if we can get the urgency he played with in the final rounds vs. FM Sapphire out of him from round 1 of every game then he will most definitely be one of the best AWPERS in the UK.
Thanks for the opportunity from the Epsilon guys, but I think it’s time to recognize and stick to doing what I do best and that’s team building rather than joining a team.
LiNK Gaming are now:
Luke "KritikaL" Green
Jake "batham" Batham
Jacob "mini" Harris
George "zed" Bear
Andrew "bashx" Christodoulou
