A little about Games Aid ( www.gamesaid.org )
GamesAid is a new UK video games industry based charity. It distributes funds to a diverse range of charities; it is a means of giving something back on behalf of the industry.
GamesAid acts as a broker of charitable activity on behalf of the industry, taking advice from all sectors. It is a non trading body. The charity is administered by Trustees, who operate on a fixed term basis. It is formally run by a chairman, who is also on a fixed term.
GamesAid is a children and young people's charity.
Just to prove also that this is the real deal I have also contacted Games Aid and they have kindly put up a few words on their twitter and website ( http://www.gamesaid.org/news.php )
So what are you waiting for?!

Joe also added for his friends at Cadred.org:
I'm proud to be hosting GamerFM's first charity event, i'm hoping that as gamers from whichever gaming background you come from we can together, all make a difference. We complain about being under paid from the tournys, competitions and lans we attend and participate in but i genuinely believe sometimes we need to think about those who literally have nothing at all.
