The ESWC is just three weeks away and we now have a finalised team list for the 1.6 tournament set to take place.

The ESWC appeared to shoot themselves in the foot when they brought in new charges for teams who didn't have national qualifiers, asking for them to pay $200 per player, an announcement that had most major organisations up in arms - with seven of them boycotting if the fee wasn't revoked. Fortunately they took heed of the warning and abolished the entrance fee - not that it's made a massive difference in terms of quality as we see a number of sub-par teams in attendance.

Much like Denmark rules online CS:S, Sweden is the overseer of online 1.6, with three teams from the nation qualifying via the online tournament. Joining them will be a mix of directly invited teams and sides who made it through their national qualifiers. There are still two slots open and the ESWC have yet to reveal who the last invitees are, however with $33,000 on the line you can bet your ass we will see some more major players names unveiled in the coming days.
