Sick of seeing clips from the new CS:GO featuring computer controlled Bots and console players with reactions slower than post-parkinsons Ali? If so then the ESL have just the thing for you.

Since its announcement the Valve team have been working hard to get CS:GO ready for its October beta and they now feel the game is finally at the stage where it can be unveiled to the world. One of the biggest problems facing the developer was convincing the competitive community that it wasn't a stop-gap console port and was in fact a game that should be taken seriously by competitive Counter-Strike players around the world. What better way to do that than to host some show-matches at the grandest of scales - the Intel Extreme Masters, taking place this weekend in New York.

The event is well underway and with 1.6 topping the bill the developers saw it as the perfect opportunity to gather some of the worlds best players for a one off show-match. Saturday see's team USA take on team Europe in what will be the first ever competitive CS:GO match. At 12:00 CET we'll get the chance to see the first ever CS:GO Showmatch!
