i30: mTw vs TLR
@ i30 channel

In an epic match mTw beat TLR in overtime 19-17 Tlr and mTw were about 5-6 rows from each other (think 20 metres), with 5 rows of pc inbetween their screens, yet mTw insisted on screens inbetween them. This delayed the match 37 minutes. I viewed the entire match from behind TLR|hostage

Finally, it went underway, the knife round to decide sides was won by TLR. They decided to swap to the counter terrorist side.

Pistol round was won by mTw as they got into the b site killing 3, with no opposition, they had no problem planting the bomb, and holding onto it to win the round.

TLR went for a 4 A 1 B split eco tactic. This didn't work as mTw worked an A split nicely, giving TLR only 2 kills as some consolation. The exact same tactic was tried again the next round, with little success. The first buyup went in the favor of TLR, however slightly marred by Hostage shooting Culo in the head for the first and only team kill of the game. TLR proceeded to roll off the next few rounds, with mTw making a break through, when a bad call on where the bomb was planted, led to Hostage shouting "rambo rush!!!" and shortly dying. That was the only round TLR lost that half, due to some superb play, and multiple clutches. At half time it went to 11-4 in TLR's favor. At this point I felt strongly that TLR had almost won it.

Just before the second half Hostage confessed to me how TLR "suck at pistols", I suggested "dualies b?", and was swiftly silenced. The pistol round couldn't have gone much worse for TLR, with hostage crossing mid, getting headshotted twice, and then being shot at kitty. Culo managed to earn a well placed bombplant, taking out 2 with his deagle before planting at the A site, he was quickly taken out. A deco was called on B, rem messed up a grenade, and damaged half of his own team. Osiribash came up with 4 eco frags to easily win the round.

Due to Culo's first round bomb plant, TLR decided to buy AK's, full nades, but no armour. This didn't pay off as an A split turned into a horror as a guy at the sewers wasn't picked up and took out 3. mTw had it locked down, pushing and peeking at the right times, TLR seemed stuck until it was 10-0. An early push at kitty by mTw got an early A pick, with TLR quickly taking advantage of the gap in the defence. mTw rolled off the next round to leave mTw needing 1 round for the win. The next round was very similair to the only round TLR had won so far, with an early kitty pick, turning into an A plant, kills through left right and centre, when the confusion killed, raL was left on his own versus 2 members of mTw. Amazingly he managed to clutch it, taking them both out in the space of 1 second.

mTw still only needed 1 round to win, yet an awesome A split by TLR enabled easy entry to the site. The round was swiftly won. With the match hanging on a knife edge at 15-14 to mTw, tlr needed something special, and they got it with Hostage running up mid, going into B from behind, and taking out 2, planting the bomb, and holding it to win the round. Overtime!

TLR were back to CT, and got an awful start, with culo rashly rushing down mid, and getting instantly picked. This cost TLR the round as mTw cleverly faked B, then went back to A.

Tlr won the next round quite easily, but with the last round of the first overtime, and TLR needing a win, mTw got some early picks, and it was up to hostage to clutch versus 4 of mTw. It wasn't going to happen, all in all a great game and well worth the watch. I'll post the demo soon.

My man of the match: Culo
