Cadred.org Recruiting
@ Scene news channel

Well, it's that time again... The ugly spectre of commitment has reared its head and culled our numbers once again meaning we have to look for some new blood to meet the demand that is expected of our readers.

In the past we've looked for people with various skills, knowledge about certain games and those with a long standing appreciation of the world of e-sports. Ultimately, many of those people have come in to the Cadred team and found it a lot more difficult and demanding than they thought it would be.

As explained in previous posts we don't need a coding wizard (hell, we'll teach you all that stuff), we don't need someone with a writing CV that shows they've been there and done that (although that would be a bonus)... What we need is someone who can dedicate the time to putting in the hard yards that comes with e-sports reporting, someone who is willing to put in the time when reality tells you that you could be doing better things.

What's in it for you?

This question is the best part of it. I'm not going to sell it to people because you are either interested or you aren't. It certainly isn't glamorous but at Cadred we do reward our crew with hardware and we're currently looking to develop people so they can attend events across Europe.

In addition to that you have the chance to work with some of the most respected writers within e-sports and would be entering the organisation at a time when there are interesting changes around the corner.

What we need from you:

Time is the big thing... Dedicating about seven hours a week will certainly be the bare minimum we'd expect from someone who was serious about it.

Having knowledge in SC2, DotA, CS:S, 1.6, LoL and any team based FPS will be a massive advantage.

Movie makers who can contribute to making highlight clips or editing footage from events.

Being someone who enjoys writing and wants to have a platform to develop their skills. We've a solid track record of turning news writers into feature writers.

Have bold opinions about e-sports and don't be afraid of voicing them.

A decent grasp of English is necessary but for those who speak English as a second language don't be deterred. Our current and former staff will all tell you this a great way to learn the English language while contributing something to the wider e-sports community.
