Today Insignia Cadre expands their horizons once again, by announcing our new Chess squad. Ranked #1 in Finland, and top 10 in the world, they will be competing in numerous tournaments over the next year.

Here is the new lineup :

Statement from Mikko "vanPult" Virtanen :

First of all I would like to say thank you to the Cadre management for giving us this opportunity to expand the chess scene, and really show the world what we're made of. Chess has never really got the attention it deserves from the eSports scene, and we will be doing everything we can to change this in our time at Cadred. We will be attending numerous tournaments over the next year, and we hope you can give us the support we deserve.

Statement from Cadre management :

Due to our continuing support of the Finnish gaming scene, we are taking this opportunity to pick up one of the most competitive squads around at the moment, and creating the new Chess squad for Insignia Cadre. Although some may question this decision, we feel that the chess scene is growing exponentially, and it may be the next hugely competitive game. Unlike some organisations, we want to lead this growth, rather than play catch up afterwards.

The new squad will be playing in the Grandmasters under the Cadre tag starting in one month, as players cannot change organisation mid season. We will of course be covering all major chess tournaments to support our squad, and wish them the best of luck in this upcoming season.
