Beasts Take The Last Resort
@ Scene news channel

Just when things seemed to be going swimmingly TLR have lost the services of their CS:S squad after the team received a better offer from Beasts Multigaming.

The former BBoMM team had been within the TLR ranks for around six months and had enjoyed some decent placings at both Epic LAN and i-series but they failed to ever live up to the standards they had set themselves back at i41 - when they reached the grand final before losing out to FMToxic. This poor(er) run of form hasn't stopped the team from catching the eye of prospective vultures, keen to prise them from the grip of Chef and the TLR organisation, and after some issues that appears to have happened.

When the side first joined the organisation it was all smiles but things soon began to unravel and the team were hit by numerous problems, most notably when they were told that they wouldn't have their accommodation covered just days before Epic 6. When they were told that they would be unable to attend i44 due to funding issues they began to look elsewhere, and it wasn't long before they began speaking to Beasts Multigaming.

The organisation have been without a team since their i-series 3rd place finishing side departed for Fragmasters prior to the ESWC and will be looking to support their latest team in future, with their first event being i45 early next year. This leaves TLR without a CS:S team once more and as of yet we're unsure whether they will return to the fold any time soon.

Phil 'Tucker' Hynes said the following to Cadred.org:

Since i42, we've been under the TLR banner and although things weren't always perfect, it was fun to be a part of it and maybe if things were organised a bit better we'd still be there, but we feel like we need a change of scenery. Chef did his best for us in a difficult climate, and we’d like to give a big thanks to Chef and TLR, but in the end things just didn’t worked out as we’d hope and so it is good to be able to say that we have found ourselves a new organisation to represent in the form of BEASTS. Obviously they’re known for their surprise 3rd place finish at i43 and we are hoping to carry on that type of success under the BEASTS banner.

We’ve been speaking to them for the last few days and everything we’ve discussed has been ideal for both parties and things look a lot brighter for us now. I44 has come a little too soon and as such, we won’t be attendance but we’ll be at numerous LAN events in 2012 as well as participating in certain online events and we plan to step-up our practice with this added security of funds behind us now. I’d just like to say thanks to DareD and all of BEASTS; on behalf of the team, for the opportunity and we look forward to representing them at as many events as possible.

I’d also like to say thanks to some sponsors and supporters most notably Steel Series, as well as Undzwei.eu and Verygames. Steel Series are the main support for the organisation and we look forward to forging a strong partnership with them and working together in numerous different ways.
