With most of the attention firmly focused on the goings on in Telford this weekend it may have slipped some people's minds that the German EPS is nearing its conclusion, with the second semi final taking place tonight.

It's the semi final that should have been the final in many people's opinion as the two mixed-European lineups clash for the first time at the Intel Friday Night game in Berlin. The pressure is on for mTw, the current reigning champions of the EPS and - for now at least - undisputed best team in the country. They've had a tough time recently and the stress is mounting up, a shocking performance at the ESWC has reportedly caused many problems within the team and with a lack of any real practice it's going to be a tough task.

They come into the match as favourites and a win here will guarantee them a spot in the grand final, where they'll face the team they dispatched of last season, Alternate Attax. Standing between them and a spot in the grand final is the young upstarts and the challengers to the mTw throne, mousesports. The organisation have worked hard since coming into the scene, starting off in the EAS they employed a team of all German players to secure a spot in the top division before picking up a side more worthy of their support.

Finding the right ingredients proved difficult but, after seeing the success the Brits brought mTw they opted to go down the mixed European route, so far it's been working well. Sam 'RattlesnK' Gawn and Jim 'Mx' Smale make up the British contingent and they're joined by some of the hungriest and most talented players in the German scene. They seem much more together than their opponents tonight and with plenty of natural ability they will prove an extremely tough opponent to beat.
