Team CRG Change One
@ Scene news channel

Arguably the biggest success story of i44 have decided to make a change to their lineup, despite a recent run of positive results.

Team CRG have been on the up for the past few months after threatening to break through on several occasions. The first sign that they should be taken seriously came at Epic 6 when they defeated a number of teams who, at the time would have been confident of overcoming them. This continued for the following few months but despite coming close often the side seemed to struggled to jump the last hurdle, failing to push their way into the upper end of the scene thanks to careless and disappointing defeats.

That remained the case until i44 where the team finally came of age, defeating the likes of eSahara and FMToxic on the way to a third place finish. The team also managed to push Danish side CKRAS all the way after an astonishing second half comeback which was cruelly ended by their experienced opponents. The team have been together for a long time now and after their 3rd place finish the major worry was whether they would remain together, or get carried away.

In the few weeks after their i-series attendance it has looked like they would remain a team, but today they have announced that they have chosen to make a change to their lineup. Out of the door goes Chris 'Bowzar' Bowey and in comes former Rasta xD man Josh 'mole' Rowley. The team have made it clear that the decision wasn't an easy one and it wasn't down to the performance of the departed player, and instead due to personality clashes and internal difficulties.

Ben 'b3n' Wood said the following to Cadred.org:

Since coming back from i44 we have had a few internal issues that needed dealing within the team. We qualified for the EMS group stages just after epic 7, during our games Bowzars pc/net kept timing out meaning for 3 of our ems games we had to play with 4. We have been together for the past 4 Lans now, and this wasent a descion we took lightly but for the team and for bowzar it was best for us to move. Chris is a good player and a good mate to all of us and we wish him the best at uni and the future. We will be bringing in Mole, who comes with bags of experience and will hopefully contiune where Chris left of as we progress to challenege to be in amongst the best of europe. See you in Copenhagen.

Team CRG are now:

Ben 'b3n' Wood
Jack 'pritch' Pritchard
Josh 'mole' Rowley
James 'redsnake' Littlewood
Ben 'chanbOii' Chan
