One of the great riches to rags stories in recent e-sports times has to be the rise and spectacular fall of Vitriolic Gaming. After seeming to have gone to ground sometime ago, the organisation has made a low key return and has picked up
The Type SC2 squad, who are based in Germany.
The team, comprised of several Korean and Japanese SC2 players, aren't just having a holiday. They have been based in their own house in the North Rhine-Westphalia region for some time and use their position in central Europe to attend events all over the continent. They are hoping that their partnership with Vitriolic will present them with more opportunities for bigger and better things.
Vitriolic Management talked up the move in a press release:
It’s been many months of hard work and preparation in the back ground to make this a reality. I’m extremely happy and excited for the future and I’m sure this partnership with Type will be something legendary. I’ve had the chance to meet each of the players numerous times. Latest being the DreamHack Winter 2011 event where we all got on great. Awesome bunch of players, amazing skill and most of all hardworking and dedicated. I’d also like to say thanks to Alexis for all the hard work he has done with the team before our partnership. Let’s rock 2012!
Similarly the Managing Director of Type added:
I am very pleased to work with Vitriolic on the unique Type.Vitriolic partnership. Joining forces is giving us such great opportunities, the vision and enthusiasm of the Vitriolic team has been a blessing and all the work we have done in the past few weeks has been nothing but beneficial. Please join us in welcoming this very strong partner in the Type family.
Going under the monicker Type.Vitriolic it isn't clear when we'll see them first in action but it shouldn't take too long given the sheer volume of events for the e-sports title.
