Apropos of this I would like to write a short coverage about the Monday night matches. I mentioned before that the ancients lineup give five members to the national team, so we will see some really thrilling battle. First, let’s see how the teams got to CAL-M finals. At the group stages Cadre was the only team which won all their matches that they played, so they won the Gamma division. Ancients was the second with one defeat from Cadre on inferno. Now look which is the map for the final, yepp, it’s inferno again. I don't want to predict the result or which team will win, now this task is waiting for the readers, but I collected a couple of results from both teams towards to see their performance.

Jump to the NatinsCup match, where Finland meets Hungary at the group stages ( group D )on the map cbble after the CAL final. There was a very nice article about the group stage predictions, written by h0lm, he said that Finland and Hungary have the biggest chance to advance from the group. If we a take a look at the current standings we can realize that h0lm's prediction was true, but don't forget: this is just the half time, and we haven’t played our match against Belgium yet. Maybe this battle decide everything, and maybe de_cbble decide everything. Why? Everybody knows cbble, and the key of the map: the kniferound. On GotFrag there is an interesting article about this, here is a short snippet:
„Source is a different story. Some maps are difficult to analyze because so few matches have been played on them, and the game hasn't been out as long. In any case, there is an odd trend. While every map favors defense, the team that starts on offense wins more often than not for every map except cbble and Train (and Train is split 50/50). Again though, some results could be misleading, as Nuke and CPL Fire have very few matches played (35 and 15, respectively), so take the results for those maps with a grain of salt.”
Finland ( 15 : 15 ) Belgium // de_nuke( Finland won after OT)
Finland ( 16 : 1 ) Slovenia // de_dust2
Hungary ( 16 : 14 ) France // de_nuke
Hungary ( 25 : 5 ) Slovenia // de_train
Our lineup will be the following:
KODIAK is the oldest in the team and maybe the most experienced among the other players. Ha had attended many WCG events, he was the main character in the first generation ancients, placed TOP8 at the 2004 WCG Source. Ha call the tactics and a brilliant, calm team-leader, the scene also knows him about his movies.
Res1st stands for the a new generation, young and talented player who can play very imponderable and this makes him a strong player, but he need to shoot the very first frags at the early times to play effective.
Npp is our aim-machine, ha has deadly accurate, always shoot the first important frags thanks to his aim. Strong-minded and we can always fall back on him at hard situations.
kuLi, multipurpose gamer and a very good team player. He can play a very a strict game and if the tactics fucked up he always give new aspects to the whole team. And a very experienced player too.
Raul, he and his Colt/AK are siamese twins. Ha hasn't played any match in the national team yet, so he want prove himself and for the team. The main player in the dalay lamas and I hope we can see his best performance tonight.
Of course we will set up SourceTVs for the events, and I hope the Finish colleagues set up too, so stay tuned for updates.
