There's A LiNK Here Somewhere...
@ Scene news channel

It's been a weird couple of months for FMToxic and LiNK Gaming, two teams who were among the group of "up and comers" for 2012 after some solid performances towards the end of the year.

The former of the two came close to causing some upsets at i44 but suffered a disappointing defeat to Team CRG in the end, finishing 4th overall. Since then things have been quiet in the Fragmasters camp, with plenty of rumours circulating that the team had decided to go their separate ways. That now appears to be the case and the disbandment of FMToxic appears to have come at the perfect time for the LiNK Gaming squad, who have seized upon the chance to join one of the most highly rated organisations in the country.

The Epic LAN champions have played under the LiNK Gaming tag for many months now but the opportunity to join Fragmasters is too good to pass up. Coinciding with their move to Fragmasters the team have made a change to their lineup, seeing Jake 'mini' Harris make way for Scotsman Neil 'nEiLZiNHo' Finlay. The team will be attending Epic 8 whilst Copenhagen Games remains on the cards if things to well.

Luke “KritikaL” Green said the following to Fragmasters:

Today I'd love to announce that my team and I are joining the fm-eSports organisation. Many will see this announcement as the treehouse being shuffled again, but this time is very different, for the first time in counter strike source I haven't been able to blag my way into a team or used my contacts to shortcut myself into an organisation. Darren was very critical in his selection of what team to pick up and it so happened to be us, he by no means gave me the easy route into the organisation, but like i said this isn't a reshuffle of the treehouse this is fresh and something new to look out for in 2012. This opportunity for two of our players is the first real opportunity in a PROPER gaming organisation to prove themselves, and I can't talk about how much someone like Phil 'Whindanski' Nichols deserves an opportunity like this, after the (in my opinion) wrongful kicking after BEASTS performance at i42 and the many previous LAN's that he has had to pay for himself and the amount of dedication and effort he has put in the past it’s a wonder that no one else has picked him up and given him this opportunity before.

With this announcement comes the “recruitment” of another player, nEiLZiNHo, who before I played with I had my doubts. This was mainly due to the style of play FM TOXIC played with at ESWC. As many people heard on the pod cast prior to I-series they played a very rigid style of play, but Neil instantly forgot that and slotted in perfectly with the style that we want to play, and since then he has brought us so much information that has made our style of play incredibly stronger. He seems to be enjoying this style of play a much more given a bit more freedom and can use his individual ability rather than relying on dedicated tactics every round which I have never been a believer of.

For the future, we're attending EPIC 8 and hopefully Copenhagen Games. We will use EPIC 8 as a warm up and learning curve to perfect ourselves for Copenhagen Games. My advice to any teams in the UK, sign up to EPIC 8 and let’s make it our UK championships, there is a good prize pot there and it would be really great to get the top 16 teams in the UK there on a regular basis.

I would like to thank Darren for having the belief in me once again to build a team that can compete on an EU level, and all the fm-eSport sponsors:

FMToxic are:

Luke “KritikaL” Green
Neil “nEiLZiNHo” Finlay
James “PEZ” Perrott
George “zed” Bear
Phil “Whindanski” Nicholas
