It's been a long time coming, but The Emperor has finally been appointed coach of Team SlayerS, replacing Cella as head coach. Not really an unexpected move, but this makes it the first time in his 13-year career that he's been a coach and not player.

The first instance of Lim Yo Hwan, known to us as BoxeR or The Emperor taking the role of coach will be the GSTL Season 1 series, but keep in mind he's also doubling as a player so his role-change to coach doesn't mean he'll fade anytime soon from the competitive scene by any means. He'll still be competing at MLGs in 2012 as well as various tournaments both online and offline. His wife and SlayerS manager Jessica had the following to say about the matter:

The appointment of BoxeR as the team's playing head coach is the best decision for the team at the present time. For the moment we will operate the team with BoxeR at the helm for this season, and depending on this season's results we will determine whether he will remain as the playing head coach for the subsequent season.

Spanning a long and envious career of dozens of tournament victories as well as becoming a Starcraft Bonjwa, he's one of the most accomplished gamers in the world, not just in the Starcraft scene.
