We already informed you about the newly created Iron squid partnership between the English and the French. Now, after almost a month of waiting, fourteen out of sixteen competitors have been announced.
The tournament looked promising from the start, which is why we decided to report on it before any players were even announced. Turns out we have a knack for picking the right unknown event to cover.
Seven of the current sixteen players are Koreans, and not just any Koreans. Among the ranks are MarineKing, Leenock and last seasons GSL champion Jjakji. It will also be the first foreign event in which we will be able to see fnatic's most recent addition: aLive. Added to these nine Koreans are some of Europe's finest, including French world champion Stephano, Dutch marco master Ret, Nerchio and ThorZaiN. The last two confirmations will be added to this post once they are announced.
The entire list of players is:

The tournament will be played in a standard fashion, meaning the sixteen players first get divided into groups of four. The first two of each group advance to the knock-out bracket. Until the round of 4 the tournament will be played out online. Both semifinals and the finals will be played offline in Paris on the 5th of May. There the top4 will battle it out in front of 2,500 spectators to see who takes home the lions share of the $25,000 prize pot.
Stay tuned to Cadred.org for the groups as well as the live streams and results!
