After a shocking start to proceedings FMToxic have fought their way back into contention at Epic LAN.

The final of Epic LAN 8 is upon us and despite trying their hardest not to Fragmasters Toxic have made it all the way.. Yesterday saw the team throw away numerous matches against teams considered much weaker than them and they followed it up in the elimination stages with a struggle against MALIK and a quick-fire defeat at the hands of Rasta Xd. At that point the vast majority of people at the event, who had the chance to witness the breakdown, saw FMToxic going out in the next stage..

With a tough lower bracket to make it through and a possible clash with their group stage kryptonite VYE in the lower bracket final the odds were stacked against a Toxic team who have looked shaky throughout. The experienced side saw off their young rivals in the semi final to set up a lower bracket grudge match against VYE on de_dust2. For the first time this weekend Toxic looked like and played like a top level team, with most of their important players doing the job required to see off the young upstarts.

A solid first half performance was followed by a resolute second half in which the number one seed called upon their experience to see out the match. The victory banished VYE to a third place finish whilst guaranteeing Toxic a spot in the grand final where they'll get another pop at their elimination stage defeaters. Despite their early struggles and the complete dominance of Rasta Xd something tells me there could be another twist in this story, and knowing the FMToxic players they won't go down without a fight. Expect fireworks!
