This weekend, a big LAN just outside Oslo, Norway, is being held. With a total of 250 000 norwegian kroners in the prizes, the LAN is a big attraction for the biggest norwegian, and scandinavian, clans. The LAN has 4 maincompo's, Battlefield 2, Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Source and Quake 4.

Five teams were in the front of the LAN guessed to do pretty well in the CS:S tournament.

Already in round 2, a big match was being played, the danes in MoD versus the norwegian team sparXs. It was a tight game, but MoD managed to pull it off and win the match 16-13 and sparXs was sent down to the lower bracket. The three other big favourites had more or less walkover in the second round, as they all won 16-0.

In the next round, adastra was playing MoD and it was ready for a real norwegian battle, as Catch-Gamer was playing MultiGamer. The danes in MoD managed to shock the swedes big and won the match 16-10. In the other match, MultiGamer won, surprisingly much, 16-6.

Before the Winner Bracket final between MoD and MultiGamer, two matches was being played in the lower bracket first, adastra vs shaolinStyle! and Catch-Gamer vs sparXs. No big surprises here, adastra won easily 16-3 and Catch-Gamer won 16-8. In the winner bracket final, MultiGamer had an easy job vs MoD and won 16-5 and is now ready for the Grand Final. Now that one of the big favourites was out of the tournament, another one was to be defeated, as the match between adastra and Catch-Gamer in lower bracket was being played. Adastra showed how strong they really are, and won 16-7.

The lower bracket final between MoD and adastra is being played at this very moment, and the grand final will be played tomorrow at 11:00 CET, and the final is being sent at live television in Norway!

I managed to get a few words with the team captain of MultiGamer, Adrian "dROzo" Magnussen!

joe: Hey Adrian! For people who don't know you and your clan, MultiGamer, so well, could you please say something to them?

dROzo: We are Team MultiGamer, the CSS team of www.multigamer.no, and we have been playing together since March this year. We have attended SHGOpen, LyseLAN and now we're at HW-Lan in Oslo, Norway. The lineup consist of snipealot, effeCt, proey, OppY and me :)

joe: Right, you are now in the grand final of HW-Lan, what do you think of the LAN so far? What do you think of the organization and the competition in the CS:S tournament?

dROzo: The tournament has been shiaat all the way..... We were supposed to start 10:00 at Friday but after 15 hours listening to hardcore techno and wrestling at the scene they decided to start at Saturday instead. Finally we got started at Saturday and the tournament run almost perfect for us, but at the moment Adastra and MoD is delayed because of heavy noise from the scene.

joe: Who do you hope will come to the grand final to play you? Adastra or MoD?

dROzo: Well, I think Adastra is a better team than MoD, but MoD have showed some cruel intentions at this event by beating Adastra 16-10 or something. If I could choose before they played I would have picked to play vs MoD in the Grand Final, but it would great to meet my fellow hestÈm8 majk from adastra in the finals too :)

The lower bracket final is just finished, and the swedes in adastra won the match pretty convincing 16-5.

majk from adastra had this to say after their victory in lower bracket final:

joe: Hey majk! Can you say something about the just played lower bracket final?

majk: Well the LB Final went really smooth for us, after we won the ct gunround our confidence was high and we hoped that the game will run through easy. But when we atleast expect it five rappers starting their hiphop straight out of Compton show on stage and we had to pause the match for one hour. After the break we took control and won by 16-5.

joe: What expectations do you have before the grand final tomorrow?

majk: I hope that the Grand Final will be a great match for the gamers aswell as the crowd. Team-Multigamer is a great bunch of really skilled guys and I personally always laugh my ass off when I talk to Drozo on irc so how could I expect less? =D. Worth mentioning is that the final will be played on the stage, first time I ever see that on a LAN like this.
