Another summer LAN was announced about two weeks ago -- just recently have the players started revealing themselves. A nice prizepot courtesy of GIGABYTE in partnership with CyberSportsNetwork, this is the first ever invitational LAN event that GIGABYTE has gone through with, offering both League of Legends and Starcraft 2.
As most of you know, League of Legends is the largest e-sports in the world, and that goes without question. Whether you love it or hate it, well, that's another discussion meant for another time. Regardless, some of the top players domestically will be attending the event and will hopefully give a great show for this college-related LAN taking place in Cal Poly Pomona, a hotspot for colleges in California. It's great to see more college-based e-sports events, as they've been severely lacking within the past few years. CSN has restored hope and will hopefully live up to everyone's standards at this LAN, taking place
JUNE 15-17. Details are below, images courtesy of the GESL.

The Schedule:
The team over at the GESL along with CSN included the following statement in the announcement, hoping to win some gamers' hearts to attend this LAN and see what the hype is all about around the college-aged organizers and staff members that made this event possible:
The GIGABYTE eSports LAN will feature an array of groundbreaking improvements to enhance the spectating experience both in person and online. Among the enhancements will be live, onstage group drawings for Starcraft II and a live picking and banning room for League of Legends. A dedicated media room for interviews prior to and following matches will allow greater access to players and a higher level of interaction between the gaming pros and their fans.
As one can tell, they've put quite a bit of effort into making this event work and operate, so it'll be interesting to see if it comes to fruition. I've been impressed with the Lone Star Clash that CSN oraganized in Texas a few weeks ago, and it's safe to say that the way that CSN has utilized its few staff members to put out such a large amount of content, tournaments and cash prizes for competitors is nothing short of astounding compared to some relatively-sized organizations that can't manage to handle their finances as such. For now, everyone seems confident. Expect updates regarding links to streams closer to the actual date of the LAN as well as updates on the remaining players as they are released. Cadred will bring you anything that developers further.
UPDATE:
Updated the players list. Scheduling updates and other things will be updated as they occur.
