The first round sees 3 matches between the lowest seeded 6 teams to fight against one of the top 3 seeded teams in the next round.

The likely favourites from the top half of the bracket seem to be CLG.EU TSM.evo, and TSM. Meanwhile CLG.NA and Dignitas will be seen as the most formidable teams in the bottom half of the bracket, yet these 5 teams will all have tough opponents to overcome if they hope to face each other.

TSM.EVO vs SK gaming is clearly a game to watch out for in round 2 as well as the game between MTW.na and CLG.eu.
