GESL: Inori Slays Monster
@ GESL channel

Let's take a look at Monster against Inori. You love PvZ don't you? All those air units going all around and the constant macroing? No? Hmm... Let's check out this series anyways, as it was a great one.

Inori, a Protoss known to be able to hold his own, and Monster, the near cinderalla-story kid from MLG Anaheim, that made it all the way out of groups to Championship Sunday. Who will come out on top?

Game 1

Daybreak. Game 1. After the ever-so unique start of droning up and expanding (that was sarcasm, if you couldn't detect it), each players' army is built up to a good little ball, about 50 supply each, with Monster at about 65 due to him being Zerg and droning up a little harder. Inori goes for his signature wicked fast warpgate and attempts to proxy a pylon at Monster's natural, warping in a few zealots, taking out a few drones here and there. It's 59-59 workers for each player, and being a Zerg, you never ever want to be falling short to a Protoss player.

The clock hits the 13 minute mark as Inori seems to have quite a solid army of stalkers and sentries along with a few immortals, courtesy his robotics facility; Monster pops a few mutalisks, but they're quickly shooed away by the blink stalkers. We saw this happen in Insur vs. Machine, and we're seeing the same thing again. Inori warps in two more rounds of stalkers and does a death push at 17 minutes in, and Monster GG's out; his roaches melt, and the mutalisks do no damage. 1-0 Inori.

Game 2

My favorite map, Cloud Kingdom. Let's take a look at what Inori does this game; the Zerg's third is quite hard to lock down if you spawn on the north side of the map, which is where Monster spawned. A clever pylon drops at Monster's third from Inori to hold off the hatchery for a few extra seconds, but it's swiftly cancelled. Once again Inori goes for blink stalkers with some zealot garnishing, opposed to sentries, and Monster goes for full roach push. Great blinks from Inori prove to be a challenge for Monster to control. Inori forces the GG with his mass of blink stalkers, it's 2-0. Monster is slain and the day goes on; well played both players.
