While most of the attention has been firmly focused on what
has turned out to be an epic Starcraft II tournament so far, DreamHack
Summer is also the battle ground for what will be the best preparation
possible for The Defense 2 which is just weeks away.
Although there have been a few notable absences from the
tournament most of the big players, at least in Europe have made the
trip to Sweden and after two days of action the big names still remain.
Each team had to battle their way through a tough group stage but in
the end it was mTw, mousesports, Na`Vi and Absolute Legends who
progressed on top of their groups, joined by Quantic Gaming, CLG, Evil
Geniuses and the much maligned Darer.
In the first and second quarter final mTw and mousesports took
on Quantic and CLG respectively and despite some stern opposition they
came out on top. This means that they will meet each other in the semi
final later this afternoon, before that though they will have the
chance to watch the next set of quarter final matches as Na`Vi take on
their countrymen Darer whilst EG battle the boys from down under
Absolute Legends. You can watch all of the action by heading over to
the official stream
