DreamHack: CLG.eu Are The Fanatics
@ DreamHack Summer 2012 channel

In association with Alienware

Fnatis are back, they've shown that with Soaz they once more have the potential to win tournaments, there's no doubt that they'll be among the best when the season 2 championships come around. For now though they're still on the up and perhaps CLG.eu will be a size to big. CLG had one of the biggest comebacks ever yesterday against the best offline team untill yesterday, Moscow 5. They're looking scary, will Fnatic peak in this series or will CLG hold their nerve, check it out below.

Game 1 was really close, for the first 25 minutes Soaz was basically carrying his team, but once CLG managed to shut him down, Froggen could burst the rest down. Fnatic lost the teamfight at the most crucial time near baron, thus giving CLG the chance to take a nice and comfortable lead. Unlike M5 yesterday they pushed their advantage rather than sitting on their chest of money. Together with Nautilus they engaged without much trouble, taking game 1.

Game 2 got off good for Fnatic, they managed to not let Kog'Maw snowball, however he was able to free farm once CLG's first bottom tower was down. This gave yellowpete the chance to catch up and once a Kog'Maw gets off, he doesn't get stopped. That's exactly what happened, All though Soaz tried to medigate all the pushes by splitting top and taking some towers of his own, The rest of his team couldn't defend. CLG dived everything without thinking and Fnatic could do nothing really. CLG.eu secure themselves a spot in the finals, something they desperately needed. The circuit point they're getting are quite a lot for this event and this could make them less nervous for the grand final.

Game 1

Fnatic bans: irelia, anivia, urgot
CLG.eu bans: darius, shen, Karthus

Fnatic picks: Twisted Fate, Tristana, Kennen, Janna, Maokai
CLG.eu picks: Leona, Nautilus, Graves, Ahri, Renekton

Both teams start of by securing their own jungle, Lamia and Pheilox do invade to take the big golem which they do but both Frogeen and Snoopeh come in for the gank, taking first blood onto Janna. yellowpete now has an advantage over his enemy laner and uses this well by poking Tristana out of lane. A gank top from Maokai eventually kills Wickd but Snoopeh was on his way and takes out Maokai by flashing in. Maokai sets up for another gank top and waits patiently for Wickd to make a mistake, however Snoopeh comes top aswell. Wickd initiates but as soon as he notices Maokai both toplaners go back.

CLG.eu use the opportunity to set up for Dragon, they take it without much hassle, seeing that Soaz was top and it would've been a 4v5 if Fnatic tried to engage. In the midlane Froggen uses AHri's ulti when veer it's up to kill Xpeke, he doesn't get it the first time but with the help of Snoopeh he takes him out the 2nd time. Toplane is slowly snowballing in Fnatic's favor, Kennen is ahead by 50 creeps at 15 minutes, he takes out the first tower and there's nothing Wickd can do about it. The 2nd dragon spawns, Fnatic are ready for it and Catch Snoopeh, CLG.eu was split up and have to give this one away.

Wickd decides to go mid since he wants to catch up on farm. Froggen goes top which pushes the game in kind of a passive fase. That didn't took to long though, Soaz starts roaming again and Xpeke finally uses his ultimate for botlane, only a trade comes of it in mid and meanwhile Froggen ambushes Lamia in a very aggressive bush, he jumps over the wall but Froggen persuits with his Ultimate. He's once more making the risky plays but they're paying off. The first 5v5 for the 3rd dragon is an Ace in favor of Fnatic. The biggest reason behind the win was Soaz using his Zhonya's and therefore being able to survive the whole fight. It still was a close fight and the gold difference is only 1K. Froggen keeps doing the risky plays but this time it doesn't pay off, he suddenly gets surrounded by 4 enemies. CLG.eu couldn't do a thing and have to give up a 2nd tier tower for it.

The first round of the salsa around baron goes bad for Fnatic, CLG manage to take out Soaz, Fnatic's main carry ad the first one. Fnatic's damage goes down a lot and this gives them the chance to take 4 kills and a baron while only losing the support player. The Gold is still so close and both teams trade towers. CLG try to initiate for the inner tower but they get melted and decide against it, mainly because the baron buff was down. Both teams turtle around mid and farm while waiting till baron spawns. A big engagement mid sees Cyanide go down while all of CLG go really low and Fnatic try to chase but get picked off 1 by 1. CLG pick up the baron all though they got pressured by Xpeke and Soaz, not the best decision looking backwards, Krepo goes in. CLG.eu life stealed of Baron enough to pick them off aswell. They don't want to turtle and waste their advantage and go up mid assassinate Fnatic who had to defend without their full team and CLG pick up game 1.

Game 2

Fnatic bans: irelia, anivia, Ahri
CLG.eu bans: Shen, urgot, Nautilus

Fnatic picks: Karthus, Tristana, Nocturne, Nunu, Nidalee
CLG.eu picks: Maokai, Soraka, Kog'Maw, Morgana, Jax

CLG.eu don't spread out but go towards the enemy red and just walk around to just plant a ward at Fnatic's wraiths. Meanwhile Nidalee takes CLG.eu's wraiths and Yellowpete takes out Fnatic's wraith, evening the counter ganks out. Action kicks off top, Maokai comes in and manages to blow both summoners of Soaz. He than waits in a brush for a very long time. Soaz eventually goes in to take the exp and gold of the pushed lane which gave an easy first blood to CLG.eu. Some roaming bot from midlane secures another 2 kills for CLG.eu. Xpeke nearly got out but the flash in from Krepo with his banana was too strong. Thanks to Froggen's agressive play, Xpeke got to go back and the out of position Nocturne give CLG the time to pick up an early dragon.

Cyanide's first ultimate botlane aswell as the Karthus ultimate puts Fnatic on scoreboard, taking the first tower aswell means that the gold difference is only 1K gold. Fnatic keep grouping up, CLG defend the tower mid and Fnatic keeps switches top and mid, catching Froggen but Lamia gets traded. As we get into the mid game, CLG take another dragon while Nidalee almost takes down 2 towers top. Kog'Maw who managed to catch up in cs with Lamia is really starting to hurt. They pick up another tower and kill and have a lead of 2.5K, not unsirmountable for Cyanide and his team. Fnatic take a tower of their own mid and go in on a low Froggen, but yellowpete comes to the rescue and evens out the kills 2 for 2.

CLG feel they have the upperhand and push down mid, taking out the first inhibitor while Nidalee takes out an Inhibitor tower. A baron is the only logic follow up and they easily take it all though Cyanide tried to steal it but was too early. Lamia gets caught aswell aswell and CLG are getting out of control now. They dive towers with ease and a 2-0 score is unevitable. Soaz tries to backdoor again but the rest of his tema can't defend CLG storming towards the nexxus. CLG in the finals !
