GESL: Final Standings
@ GESL channel

The GESL's first event wasn't really something anyone LAN would want to right home about. Day 1 and 3 were met with some big problems, but in the end the teams got to play their matches so that i at least can present you with the final standings.

Basically on day one the internet went down for the entire event, this caused a lot of delays for the matches in both LoL and SC2. After all of that, the League casters had to cover some of the games in a unique way. They typed in the chat what happened. They couldn't really do a lot about it but an interview afterwards from the "big man" behind GESL brought to light a good fix for the next event: " always make sure you have someone who can go everywhere and knows everything". Something they really needed since the event was held in a school.

Day 2 went down normal, we got into the brackets and we were all ready for the finals on sunday. But lightning struck and in a moment of "brilliance" RIOT decided to bring out a patch at the same time the finals were about to start. While this shouldn't have been an issue, it became one thanks to the patch breaking the NA Servers for several hours. The GESL crew tried to keep the delays as little as possible by using the Tournament client. This worked out for the players... Not for the casters though. The spectator client crashed and everyone was forced to watch the players play with an occasional listen in on the teamspeak. That was basically the final day.

It was to no ones surprise that TSM brought home a 4th consecutive title. CLG.Na however had to be happy with 3rd place, placing behind their "B" team.

Here are GESL's Final Standings:

TSM - $ 6000
CLG.Black - $ 3000
CLG.NA - $ 1000
