Epic.LAN events have been on our shores since March 2009, and each and every event they have run has been met with great praise by anyone attending. Each thread that pops up on our forums about the next epic.LAN always has a lot of good things to be said about it, and with epic.NINE just around the corner, now's the time to get involved.

Epic.NINE is starting on 19th July. That's three weeks away if you can't read a calendar properly. Every instalment of the event brings nothing but praise, yet the UK CS:S scene has never really embraced the event to the fullest extent, as the most recent epic.LANs have all been dominated by the UK COD4 scene, with only 8 teams in attendance for CS:S at epic.EIGHT.

There always seems to be a lot of interest as soon as the tournaments are announced, only for there to be massive disappointment as only a few teams ever commit, and the rest of the slots are filled up by mixteams looking for a laugh. Perhaps this is because people aren't fully aware of the dates for the event, or maybe it's to do with the UK scene's lack of commitment. Whatever the reason, there should be no excuse for missing it this time round!
