ToSsGirL Retires
@ Scene news channel

Yet another veteran and figure of the professional Starcraft scene leaves us today -- Seo Ji "ToSsGirL" Soo, the last remaining female Starcraft professional gamer from South Korea that's active.

Thanks to dailyesports.com for the picture. Many refer to her as the female BoxeR, the "Empress," for her pushing forward of the scene around the same time as BoxeR, but more in regards to the female scene. Being easily the most accomplished female gamer in South Korea, she's undefeated in every league tournament that she's competed in and is known for making male players retire after being beaten "by a girl" before 2005.

Known most for knocking a few league matches off YellOw and BoxeR, ToSsGirL is nothing to glance over regarding skill. Throughout her professional gaming career (2000-2012) she remained with STX SouL, a legendary team within the Brood War scene that's been around just as long as the scene has. The announcement to retire comes shortly after both a hiatus announcement from BoxeR and NaDa's own retirement. ToSsGirL's retirement ceremony will be held on July 17 at the Yongsan E-sports Stadium to give respects to her career as a female professional gamer and the reign that she held while active. Updates to follow if they occur.
