Eight more of the players competing in the $30,000 Assembly Summer Starcraft 2 tournament this August have been announced.

This fresh batch of players brings the total number of known participants to sixteen, half of the total who will be present at the event. So far there is no sign of Assembly Winter finalists Polt and Stephano, but the recently crowned Dreamhack Summer Champion MaNa and the IPL4 winner aLive have both been added to the mix. Fraer, the surprise semi-finalist from Dreamhack has also been invited and will have the pressure of proving that his impressive finish in Sweden was not just a fluke. The event begins August 2nd and the players will be fighting it out over a $30,000 prize pool with $13,000 being awarded to first place.
