It's been a while since we interviewed the man himself, Han Sang 'biGs' Cho, in an interview which back then showed how serious and motivated the Swiss Zerg was in competing in StarCraft 2. But times change and so has BiGs, as he has decided to give up on professional gaming in order to focus on his academic career.
In our interview the Swiss lone-star admitted to playing as much as he could, which amounted to 12 hours a day at times, a feat which not many players can pull off. This motivation and dedication however also meant that BiGs had to give up other pursuits in life, including for example an academic career. After several months of intense training and competing, which amounted to very little international results apart from perhaps some decent EPS placings, Han Sang 'biGs' Cho decided there were more important things in life than professional gaming.
With time getting scarce and results somewhat disappointing it wasn't a hard choice for the Swiss to choose for a university degree rather than a gaming career. In a mutual agreement with his long-term team Mousesports the contract that bonded them has been annulled, and BiGs has been set free to focus on his new walk in life.
Han Sang 'biGs' Cho had the following final statement on the Mousesports site:
First of all I'd like to thank mousesports for giving me the opportunity to join them, improve a lot, and participate in a lot of events. I spent a great year in a family of awesome teammates and I had a lot of fun. Due to personal issues I'll not be able to invest as much time into sc2 as I did before. I will probably continue to play a bit for enjoyment, but much less than before. I think it's time for me to choose another path than gaming. Best of luck to mousesports in the future. mouz hwaiting!!!
With BiGs leaving the mousesports roster has once again been reduced to four, would they take on someone new to replace him? Stay tuned to Cadred to find out all the latest about the StarCraft 2 scene and more!
