Well, it seems that my picks were only 2/4 on Saturday, hopefully today they'll be better. Let's take a quick look at who won and lost on the first day of TSL4.

We saw HyuN pull a huge blunder by letting his guard down after being up 2-0. A few little mistakes and misclicks cost him the series in the end, as Major came back on a 3-game winning streak to take the series 3-2 overall. A quick interview with Major courtesy of Team Liquid showed that he was a bit rustled by the results, stating that although he came back from the bottom, he still was feeling a "mix of feelings," stating that in the higher levels of tournaments online, he always loses to HyuN and that he needs to continue to focus if he wants to progress even farther in the tournament.

Curious overtook LaLuSh in an easy 3-0 sweep, keeping the dream alive and progressing further into the heart of TSL4. He said he's confident that if he does meet Squirtle in the near future possibly in the Ro8, that he will "prepare hard so [he] can beat him," the confidence one must have to go far.

VortiX, a member of KARONT3's Starcraft 2 squad overtook BabyKnight 3-1, an upset seeing as BabyKnight just won the WCS for his home country. VortiX cites studying of BabyKnight's replays and playstyle to his victories, as well as dropping some unrelated knowledge that he can solve a Rubik's Cube "in under 30 seconds." We hope to see some of that cube micro in his next matches to see if he can keep on keepin' on.

The closest series thus far in TSL4, Squirtle inched out Ret 3-2 in a spectacle of PvZ play. Squirtle cites the Red Bull Battlegrounds LAN for giving him a slight feel for Ret's gameplay, more known to all of us as an extremely drone-heavy style with early macro advantages, much like Sheth's. Squirtle says he wont be satisfied with anything but the championship, but if he keeps up this play, that goal may become a reality sooner than later. He says he's keeping an eye on TaeJa's aggressive Terran style.
